What’s your favorite color? Is it “brain-function blue?” Maybe you’re more of a “cardio-caring red” kind of person. Don’t forget the glorious greens if you’re in the mood for antioxidants. No matter which colors you prefer, it’s important to be just as colorful with the foods you eat for a healthy and balanced diet.
Mather Nature knows how to set a table. She knew we would be attracted to bright colors, so she included healthy micronutrients — vitamins and minerals that our bodies need but cannot manufacture on our own — in some of her most colorful fruits and vegetables. All we need to do is include a rainbow of colorful foods in our diets.
Don’t restrict beautiful colors to your wardrobe; include them in your diet as well. See the accompanying resource to learn more.
